CCTST Team Members Contribute to Elevate: Advanced Clinical Research Symposium 2026
Elevate: Advanced Clinical Research Symposium 2026 brought together clinical research professionals (CRPs) and workforce development leaders from Ohio’s three CTSA institutions for a statewide collaborative learning experience.

Hosted by The Ohio State University, the symposium emphasized advancing the clinical research workforce through knowledge sharing, discussion of emerging challenges and opportunities, and the development of partnerships to support continued professional growth and collaboration across institutions.
Angela Mendell, MS, CCRP, CCTST Collaboration and Team Science program manager, served on the collaborative leadership team alongside colleagues from Case Western Reserve University and The Ohio State University to plan and lead the inaugural symposium.

In addition to her leadership role, Angela presented on “Team Science and Organizational Leadership.” Julie Wijesooriya, MPA, CCTST research community liaison for the Research Participant Advisory Groups, also presented on “Community Advisory Boards.”
The event was well received, with strong participation both in person and virtually, and attendees demonstrated engagement throughout the conference. In addition to fostering connections and knowledge sharing, the symposium offered CRPs the opportunity to earn up to four self-reported continuing education hours.
