ACRC Researchers to Develop Pocket-sized Ventilator for Emergency Care

Acute Care Research Core (ACRC) Co-Director Jason McMullan, MD, professor, and ACRC Grant awardee Justin Benoit, MD, associate professor, both from the UC Department of Emergency Medicine, were recently highlighted on Local 12 news discussing their ongoing development of a compact, pocket-sized ventilator. This device is designed to help individuals who are struggling to breathe in emergency situations.


Drs. McMullan and Benoit have been working through the UC 1819 Innovation Hub Venture Lab Accelerator Program to bring their invention to the community. To read more about this potential medical breakthrough, please visit the Local 12 article.
