Engage With Research

WHAT IS RESEARCH AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? â€‹

Research studies are vital for:

  • Making ways to prevent or treat problems.

  • Increasing our knowledge about ways to stay healthy.

  • Discovering new treatments and making sure that we use existing treatments in the best possible ways.

We need YOU to participate in research. YOU can help us develop better or new medicines, treatments, and therapies!

BECOME RESEARCH READY

Become “Research Ready” by understanding the 3 P’s:

  1. Purpose – the purpose of health research

  2. Protection – how participants are kept safe

  3. Participation – why all people should participate!

A graphic-style story, Research Ready, was co-designed by the We Engage 4 Health (WE4H) program with Cincinnati communities to educate grade 5 through adults about how to decide to participate in health research studies.
